Villa Jelena is a gorgeous Mediterranean villa located in bay of Tepli bok, 500m from the center of Maslinica on the island of Šolta. Only 15 meters from the sea and positioned in a peaceful neighborhood, it is a perfect place to enjoy your summer vacation, whether with family or with friends. The climate on the island is very pleasant as well, as it doesn’t often get too hot due to the gentle, cool winds. The house itself is built in a combination of styles, with the upper part being relatively modern, yet clearly Mediterranean, which is visible in its employ of wooden grill window shades and a typical red tiled roof. The ground floor, however is a bit more direct in its traditional expression, as its walls are stone made. In front of the villa, there is a spacious terrace with a number of lovely smaller trees growing from the unpaved patches of ground which give the place a natural look and provide enough shade for the sun loungers. These sun loungers are positioned in a row directly in front of the swimming pool, making it a perfect place to chill out during the day whilst enjoying the fantastic view of the bay. An outdoor shower is placed next to the pool. A concrete plateau beneath the house serves as a private beach, as well as a small boat dock.
From the inside, Villa Jelena is nothing short of charming, and the combination of inner content makes it a truly memorable and pleasant place. There are many vintage elements within the villa, like some of the furniture and plenty of decorations such as mantelpiece ornaments and framed paintings. Lighting is also quite old school and delicate, especially the chandelier above the dining room table. The walls are painted white and the floor tiles are blue, creating an airy and fresh atmosphere within the villa. All of the furniture is very comfortable, especially the beds, while the villa is thoroughly equipped for all your daily needs. The ground floor is conceptualized as separate apartment, while the first and second floor have a common entrance. Living room is located on the first floor and stairs lead to second floor. Every room has its own air conditioner. The ground floor (25m2) has its own entrance and consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen (with a dishwasher). The first floor (75m2) consists of one double-bed room and one single bed room, 2 bathrooms (with a washing machine), kitchen (with dishwasher) and living room (satellite TV). The living room leads to 2 spacious terraces (30m surface) with a sea view. The second floor (50m2) consists of 3 bedrooms - 2 double bed rooms and 1 single bed room, a bathroom, as well as a living room. There are also two little terraces. One leads to living room while the other one leads to bedroom.
You can find most of what you need in terms of grocery shopping in Maslinica, as well as a few cafes and restaurants. The Island of Šolta is situated near Split, and, with only 9 nautical miles of distance and 6 ferry lines along with 1 speedboat line per day between them (during the season), it has become practically a suburb of Split. It is a gorgeous island, much like its surrounding neighbors like Brač, Čiovo and Hvar. There are plenty of family-run farms on the island, where you can learn about making olive oil, wine and honey, as well as buy some of those. You can also head to Split and explore the rich history and culture of this beautiful medieval city (referring to its old core), visit the famous island of Brač, or engage in sport activities like scuba diving, sailing, fishing, hiking, windsurfing and more!
