HR53 Villa Olga

Description

Located in the town of Jelsa on the island of Hvar is a lovely villa designed and made in the fashion of traditional Mediterranean architecture, and it is called Villa Olga. It is called a villa, though it might be called a palace. It highly resembles old haciendas of Latin America, with a large central building and a spacious courtyard within its enclosure. Such is Villa Olga, only the hacienda is a beautiful Adriatic villa. It encompasses over 600m2 of interior space and a 200m2 garden with a terrace. High stone walls surround the villa, so privacy is thoroughly guaranteed. The courtyard is paved in stone tiles, and the spacious surface is decorated with a number of terracotta vases with a wide variety of plants. The other part of the courtyard is covered by stone pebbles instead of tiles, and this surface is home to some lovely palm trees. The courtyard also houses a long 24m2 swimming pool where you can go for a nice, good swim. During the summer months swimming in the indoor pool is very refreshing, and winter is nice and warm, because the pool is heated. One more thing to mention is that the terrace by the pool is connected to the inner kitchen, and on it you can find a table with a set of chairs, creating a perfect opportunity for outdoor feasts.
The interior of Villa Olga is a lovely rustic decorum full of stone, wood and fine chosen ornaments. You can also find a lot of plants inside, along with various neat and comfortable furniture and a lot of wood. You might especially like the room with a giant Jacuzzi, a room with subtle lighting and completely made out of stone. This fine choice of materials, and the combination of traditional aesthetics with modern functional design has created a gorgeous home worth every praise. Even the atmosphere inside isn’t overcome by the luxury, instead it is warm, inviting and very pleasurable. The villa can accommodate 8 + 2 + 4 people. On the first floor there are four bedrooms with double beds and sofa beds, each with a private bathroom, an AC-TV and satellite TV. The ground floor has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a dining room. There is a large table for 12+ in the living room, opens onto a spacious terrace with a Mediterranean garden and the mentioned swimming pool (15m x 2.40m). The ground floor has an excellent sound system, which is great if you want to have a private party or other kind of gathering.
You can find most of what you need in terms of grocery shopping in the town center, along with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. For exploration, we suggest visiting the mentioned Paklinski Islands (largely uninhabited and often described as being among the most beautiful islands in the world), Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
