When we think of a good vacation, our thoughts often wander to the sea. Joined with that image are those of solitary beaches and remote islands, sail boats, vast nature and fine cuisine. Villa Plano is a lovely Mediterranean villa positioned in Plano village, only a few kilometers from the airport, the highway, the sea and the historical cities of Trogir and Split. The property is enclosed by a natural fence made up of various local plants, which both looks terrific and provides you with enough privacy to relax in peace. The villa is modern, though containing elements of traditional aesthetics making it very suitable if you want to immerse yourself in the real spirit of the Adriatic. The white colored villa consists of two large living units, connected by an outdoor staircase. Next to the villa is another, smaller unit containing an outdoor kitchen covered by a wooden beam roof. The kitchen is very well-designed, containing a lot of wood and antique inspired elements. The outdoor fireplace is also available for your disposal, enabling you the preparation of delicious barbecue! Furthermore, the large courtyard is divided into a stone paved surface and a well-maintained garden which contains a variety of indigenous plants such as rosemary, olive, lavender etc. The paved part houses a 35m2 swimming pool, next to which a few deck chairs are positioned to ensure a pleasurable time under the Sun.
As you enter the house you are likely to feel the warmth and pleasantness of the interior emanated from the lovely furnishings and décor. Most of the furniture is old school and wooden, while the rest of it is in accordance in the theme of the interior and very comfortable. That includes the sofas, chairs and beds. Decorations are present throughout the villa, like numerous maritime-themed paintings, wrought iron fences on the upper floor, lovely wallpaper in the living room, and much more. Other fine elements used in the design are the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling, antique wardrobes, cupboards and shelves, with the addition of lovely antique lighting. There are 5 bedrooms in the villa, with differentiations in color and furniture, and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The whole place is air conditioned, pet friendly, with internet and Wi-Fi.
As for the grocery shopping, there are stores, bakeries and markets in Plano where you can find most of what you need. Larger shopping malls can be found in Split and Trogir, and those two are also great opportunities for some exploration and learning. The historic town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is about 9 kilometers away. There you will find numerous cultural and historical sights, beautiful beaches, promenades, lots of entertainment and sport facilities for all generations, as well as restaurants with excellent Dalmatian cuisine and high quality home-made wine and olive oil.
