As the holiday season approaches, many find themselves daydreaming about what their ideal vacation might be. It might be somewhere the climate is moderate, pleasant, with clear weather and clean sea… Anywhere far from the commotion of fast-paced city life, from all the noise and dense air, any such place has the potential to refill lost energy and build strength for times to come. Add into the mix all the vast natural beauties, all the lively flora and fauna, and you got yourself a vacation to truly remember. Here on Hvar, chances are you will find all you need!
In a little village of Pitve near Jelsa on the island on Hvar, there is one gorgeous complex with an old stone villa and a big courtyard with a pool. Villa Angie is a complex in which you can find all you need for a truly memorable vacation with the family, friends or as part of an organization of events like weddings, summer camps, yoga retreats and the like. The complex is divided into conceptually different units, which are all in harmony with one another. There is the ‘’Jolly Corner’’, ‘’Relaxation Area’’, ‘’At Granny’’, ‘’Kitchenette’’, ‘’Observatory’’ and “Living Room in Nature”. Let’s begin with the outdoor areas: the “Jolly Corner” is sort of an intro to the whole place, an area where you can enjoy your new surroundings and dig the Mediterranean vibe before you start to get acquainted with the complex in full. The “Living Room in Nature” the entire exterior, the landscaped garden of 300m2, a great place to spend the majority of your time in the villa as is it filled with various Mediterranean flora like figs and lavender. For all gourmets, and those who take delight in cooking, at your disposal is a summer kitchen with all the necessary elements of modern meal preparation and a stone fireplace. Both the kitchen and the dining area are under a roof. Aside from that, the villa also has a 30m2 swimming pool where you can relax on the deck chairs while enjoying the sun and the view.
As for the interior: the “Relaxation Area” is spread on two floors, which are connected by an internal staircase. They consist of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom on the first floor and 2 bedrooms with one bathroom on the second floor. 3 bedrooms have queen size beds and 1 room has twin single beds. All of the rooms have an exit to the balcony with a sea view that is really something special! “Relaxation Area” can accommodate up to 8 people. At Granny is a studio apartment with a small kitchen, a dining/living room with 2 sofas, all linked into a single unit. It has a separate bathroom, and its capacity is 4 people. “Kitchenette”is a small kitchen/dining room and it's located in the historically oldest stone house of Villa Natura. Once the "Kitchenette" was the main area were traditional Dalmatian specialties were prepared, and today you can also use it for the same purpose. From the "Kitchenette" there is an exit on the terrace where an old water tank is located which was once the main water pumping station, and today serves as a decoration and a reminder of the old times. Although the terrace offers a wonderful sea view, a terrace is named "Observatory" because at night you can watch the stars in all their glory.
The village Pitve has a restaurant a walking distance away from the house, and shops, ATMs, medical services, a market and many bars and restaurants are about 1km away in Jelsa. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
