ST29 Villa Gordan

Description

Villa Gordan is a new, modern villa (2014) located on the outskirts of the biggest city in the Adriatic coast, Split. Its position provides many benefits, so to mention a few: first off, the landscape. Since the region has a favorable geological configuration consisting of numerous hills connecting to the mountain Biokovo, a variety of flora had a chance to flourish successfully, creating unforgettable sights of green and grey, with the rocks protruding out of the foliage. Split in itself is a very interesting city with a long history, and architecture to support the claim. One famous example is the Diocletian’s palace. Moreover, the villa offer you a chance to relax in privacy, as the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet.
The villa was designed in modern style, following the principles of contemporary architecture like minimalism, functionality and high quality materials. The shapes of the villa are simple and rectangular, the colors mostly white or black and the lighting is so subtle that it creates a lovely, romantic atmosphere at night. The glass surfaces are large and positioned in a way to take a lot of sunlight. The courtyard of Villa Gordan is quite commendable as well, covering spacious land rich in Mediterranean vegetation of all kinds. All of it might simply be described using the word ‘’zen’’ – the lawn is spacious, fine and nicely trimmed, the pathways are made out of scattered stone and all of the lead to some functional space in the courtyard. There is a paved part of the courtyard, which houses a swimming pool next to which you will find some parasols and wooden deck chairs with comfortable cushions, making it a perfect place to enjoy the Sun with a drink in hand. Next to the house is a dining area with a stone fireplace and a wooden table covered by a lovely pergola. The interior of Villa Gordan follows the impeccable style of its exterior, creating a cozy, graceful space you are sure to enjoy. There is much simplicity inside as well, which is very pleasant to the eye, especially when all the elements are mixed in such harmony. Mostly the walls are painted white, with an exception of one in the living room covered by a wooden panel. Some of the furniture is also wooden, like the dining table, contributing to the warm atmosphere in the villa. The furniture is modern and very elegant, not to mention comfortable. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom, so the villa is adequate for a smaller family or a group of friends. The kitchen is fully equipped for your meal preparation needs. The villa is air conditioned, with internet access and free parking space. Apart from that, guests have access to table tennis and a small football field, for an occasional workout.
Split is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of Dalmatia region. It is an intraregional transport hub and a popular destination, linked to many Adriatic islands like Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Lastovo and more, along with the Apennine peninsula. The city has a long history and visible heritage, one notable example being the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE. It was founded as a Greek colony in the 2nd century BC, and throughout time it changed its masters numerous times, each one leaving distinguished marks on the city. Apart from the historical heritage to explore, like the Cathedral of St Domnius, the palace, Klis Fortress, Temple of Jupiter and Salona, there is a lot to do like shopping, island hopping, sailing, sports, bathing on the popular beach of Bacvice and much, much more. We wish you a pleasant stay!
