Sometimes all we need is some time off from the fast-paced life characterized by a lot of working hours, constant availability to everyone due to the intense use of technology, frustration of others which reflect on ourselves and just an overall energy draining environment. And oftentimes we seek that time off in the embrace of nature represented by lush green, wide blue and a dive into the cool clean sea. Coastal Croatia, especially the region of Dalmatia is known for its untamed beautiful nature, its numerous islands and its long history still vivid in the architecture of its cities, towns and villages.
In a little village called Kožino 9km northwest of Zadar, northern Dalmatia, a villa is situated. This lovely villa on the waterfront offers accommodation for 3 people in one of the apartments. The apartment, or the villa, is situated in a quiet, peaceful part of the village, and it is a perfect opportunity for a small family or a small group of friend to get some rest and enjoy the surroundings. As the villa is on the waterfront, and the apartment has a terrace, you have an opportunity to marvel at the magnificent view over the open sea to the island of Ugljan, a view that is even more spectacular as the Sun sets. The apartment has 3 stars and is located on the 1st floor of the villa. With 45m2, it consists of one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, a large living room and the mentioned terrace. The apartment is furnished with style and great eye for detail, with many lovely elements within the place that create a nice, home-like atmosphere. There is a number of wooden elements like the TV cabinet, table and chairs, flooring and cupboards, which go great with the white painted walls and yellow drapes near the glass slide door. The living room also has one sofa with a cool, retro pattern that invites a bit of a free spirit in the place. Decorations include a number of lovely paintings, a fine addition to the space. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily needs regarding meal preparation. The apartment is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi, and a swimming pool is at your disposal, neighbored by a few useful sunbeds. There is also a shared barbecue area in the garden and a private parking space in front of the villa. Pets are welcome!
The local population in village engages in agriculture, mostly cultivating vines and olive trees. Here you will find beautiful pebble and sand beaches with clear waters and surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. The most valuable cultural and historical monument to visit in Kožino is the parish church of St. Michael, built in the second half of the 16th century. Sports enthusiasts can try their hand at tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball, football, handball, basketball, water skiing, surfing, sailing, rafting on river Zrmanja and hiking on the Velebit mountain. As with all small towns in Dalmatia, Kožino organizes numerous festivals during July and August where a number of local specialties and wines are offered followed by good local music.
