Split is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of Dalmatia region. It is an intraregional transport hub and a popular destination, linked to many Adriatic islands like Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Lastovo and more, along with the Apennine peninsula. The city has a long history and visible heritage, one notable example being the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE. It was founded as a Greek colony in the 2nd century BC, and throughout time it changed its masters numerous times, each one leaving distinguished marks on the city. Apart from the historical heritage to explore, like the Cathedral of St Domnius, the palace, Klis Fortress, Temple of Jupiter and Salona, there is a lot to do like shopping, island hopping, sailing, sports, bathing on the popular beach of Bacvice and much, much more. We wish you a pleasant stay!
