After a year of hard work, we all wish for a good and quality rest. And perhaps, memorable as well. There is something for everyone, and people go all over the world to find respite from their usual lifestyle and breathe some novelty into it. For all of those who seek a place with vast natural treasures like abundant flora and fauna, lovely fragrances, beautiful views of the clean sea, the islands and the mountains of the continental coast, Korcula is the right place. Aside from the natural beauties, the island offers much more!
The spacious holiday home Villa Nadia is located in the town and port of Vela Luka, on Korcula. It is only 50m away from the beach, and about 3km from the center of town. Being on the outskirts brings many advantages, the most notable being the opportunity to fill your batteries in a peaceful and quiet environment. The neighborhood is pleasant and the population density relatively low. Around the villa you will notice great natural riches like abundant Mediterranean vegetation including pine, olive, lavender, citrus, rosemary and various others. The sea in the bay is immaculate and sky blue, with enjoyable temperatures throughout the summer. The villa itself is made in classic Adriatic coast fashion, with simple shapes and covered by a two sloped roof with red tiles. It has six terraces on the upper floors from which you can enjoy views of the bay, but the nicest terrace is one on ground level, directly in front of the villa. That area is under the shade of a vine covered pergola resting on stone pillars, and enclosed with a stone drywall. There is a table and a set of chairs, making it a great place to enjoy outdoor meals (there is a barbecue grill as well). By the villa is an elevated terrace with a swimming pool. Alongside the pool you will find some sun loungers positioned perfectly for lounging under the sun. Another pergola is positioned on this terrace, providing shade for some garden furniture where you may rest. The interior of the villa is very spacious and furnished mainly in traditional fashion, using some vintage furniture like chairs, tables, kitchen cupboards and so on, with a nice addition being the interior fireplace in the dining room. The other two kitchens of the villa are, however, designed in elegant modern style. The villa has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and it can accommodate up to 14 people. Colors vary throughout the place, ranging from simple white and light yellow to light orange and baby blue, which largely brightens up the atmosphere within the villa in a pleasant way. Villa Nadia is equipped with everything you may need for your vacation; air condition, internet and Wi-Fi, laundry machine, refrigerators/freezers, stoves, ovens, kitchen utensils, SAT TVs and fireplaces.
Vela Luka is a small town and a municipality in Dubrovnik-Neretva County in southern Dalmatia, Croatia. This town on Korcula is at the bottom of a wide bay which has many indented coves. The town developed at the beginning of the 19th century, and its name means ‘’big harbour’’. You can do all your grocery shopping in town and dine in some of the best seafood taverns on the coast. Furthermore, as the island offers a lot of other contents in terms of nature exploration, summer activities like scuba or sailing, and the rich history of its other parts, we suggest visiting Pupnatska Luka beach, along with Lumbarda beach. A must see is the old 13th century town of Korcula, with its massive fortification walls, plenty of centuries old sacral buildings and amazing cuisine. We wish you a pleasant stay!
