For a long awaited vacation, many flee to seaside. Often the feeling of diving into the clean, cold sea symbolizes cleansing from everyday life and the commencement of battery recharge. It is indeed a fine choice, as the natural surroundings have the greatest potential of providing proper relaxation and rest. Many places can provide such refreshment, but rare are those with a truly old soul, traditional Mediterranean spirit and the abundance of untouched natural beauties. One of those rare places is the increasingly popular coast of Croatia, with its many islands and archipelagos, and one of the most prominent examples of all the Adriatic advantages is the island of Korcula.
Villa Lidia is a perfect place for a large family or a group of friends, as it has plenty of space and content, along with a number of great qualities. One of those would be its position – not only is it situated on one of the prettiest islands in the Adriatic, but it is just 80 meters from the beach. The property is located in Uvala Nova, a village 8km away from the town and port of Vela Luka. The village has a low population density, and the villa is on its outskirts, so you are sure to get a proper rest and relax in the peace and quiet of your surroundings. The property borders a rich pine forest spreading a few kilometers over untouched and beautiful hillside. The villa is designed in typical modern-Mediterranean fashion. It has a large courtyard and two floors connected by an inner staircase. A double slope roof covers the upper floor, and the colors used in the façade are darkened orange and white. Around the house you will find a lot of great content, the most important being the pool area. Along with a nice heart shaped pool, a number of sun loungers are placed there making it an ideal place to hang out with your loved ones. Moving from this part and across the parking patio, you reach another part of the terrace with table tennis set up and a nice exterior fireplace for BBQ. On the sea facing side of the villa, a nice wooden pergola is connected to the house under which is a dining table and a set of chairs. There is a pebble courtyard in this part, with a garden a children playground and one more lovely fireplace. The interior of the villa is meticulously furnished, enriched with elegant furniture which is positioned in a way to make the best use of space. The villa consists of 3 apartments, all of them very spacious, air conditioned and well-decorated with paintings, pictures, plants and other ornaments. They all have a flat-screen TV and a kitchen with a dishwasher. The 3 bathrooms have a shower, hairdryers and free toiletries. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms with a king sized bed and a spacious living room.
The nearest restaurant is 2 km away, while a grocery store is at a distance of 7 km. The town of Blato is 10 km away, while the town of Korčula is 45 km from Villa Lidia. Furthermore, as the island offers a lot of other contents in terms of nature exploration, summer activities like scuba or sailing, and the rich history of its other parts, we suggest visiting Pupnatska Luka beach, along with Lumbarda beach. A must see is the old 13th century town of Korcula, with its massive fortification walls, plenty of centuries old sacral buildings and amazing cuisine. We wish you a pleasant stay!
