In the southern Adriatic sea, Palmižana is located just off the coast of the town of Hvar on the island of Hvar, a place which has the most sunny hours of all others in the Mediterranean. Because of its beauty, Paklinski archipelago was proclaimed a protected nature park.
Bungalow Maia is a very interestingly designed house, with its curved slope roof of classic red tiles and a stone façade which gives it a true Mediterranean look. The house is only meters away from the lovely sand and pebble beach, thus providing a beautiful view of the southern Palmižana bay and the surrounding nature. The terracotta tiled terrace has a metal table with a set of chairs (all in shades of green, to go with the doors, window shades and the interior). In front of the paved part of the terrace is a natural pathway leading down to the beach. There is a wide variety of vegetation around the house, a fair addition for every nature lover who visits places like this to appreciate their untouched beauty.
The interior of the house is just as lovely as its exterior, making a full use of its spaces and employing great elegance in its décor. It is a spacious split-level place; upstairs is one bedroom with a king-size bed, while the living room with an additional single bed and a bathroom is on the ground floor. Thematically, the bungalow is a great combination of green, beige and white. There are green lamps, ornaments, a number of plants, sofa covers and pillows, while the tiled floor is in accord with the stone inner façade of parts of the walls. Decorations are present in the form of lovely paintings, small lamps and framed mirrors all of which give a special feeling to the space and tie it together. The bungalow is air conditioned, and it has 1 bathroom equipped with all the necessities of daily living.
As for the food and drinks, each of the bungalows has a small refrigerator wherein you may store your food for non-cooking consumption, like fruit, snacks and so on. Regarding cooked meals, there is a restaurant and a café bar right next to the bungalows, a lovely place covered by a bamboo canopy which serves delicious meals. Free Wi-Fi is also available at the restaurant.
