Palmižana is a popular name for the small island of St. Klement. It is one of many islands in the unique Paklinski archipelago, renowned for its beauty. In the southern Adriatic sea, Palmižana is located just off the coast of the town of Hvar on the island of Hvar, a place which has the most sunny hours of all others in the Mediterranean. Because of its beauty, Paklinski archipelago was proclaimed a protected nature park.
Lovely Bungalow Orchid is situated within a stone and brick house, which is positioned only a couple of meters away from the lovely sand and pebble beach, thus providing a beautiful view of the southern Palmižana bay and the surrounding nature. The house is mostly made out of brick with a white façade, but is also adorned with stone elements which give it a special Mediterranean touch. As you exit the bungalow, you set foot onto greek blue tiles, a distinctive part of Orchid. There is also a blue metal table and a set of blue chairs to go with it. Next to the paved part of the terrace is a natural pathway leading down to the beach. There is a wide variety of vegetation around the house, a fair addition for every nature lover who visits places like this to appreciate their untouched beauty.
The interior of the house is just as lovely as its exterior, making a full use of its spaces and employing great elegance in its décor. Bungalow Orchid resumes its white-blue tone of the exterior as the main characteristic of the interior – and the effect is delightfully cool. The floor consists of blue tiles, and blue are the elements within the rooms, such as the ceiling fan, a vase, wrought metal casing of the bed and so on. Most of the paintings have blueish themes as well, and help in connecting the place in style. The bathroom is in thematically connected to the rest of the bungalow, and is thouroughly equipped for daily use. Other elements in the bungalow are made of brown lacquered wood, which is a good choice for bringing some traditional feeling to the interior. The bungalow accommodates 4 people (one bedroom with a king size bed and a living room with two extra beds), and the whole place is air conditioned.
As for the food and drinks, each of the bungalows has a small refrigerator wherein you may store your food for non-cooking consumption, like fruit, snacks and so on. Regarding cooked meals, there is a restaurant and a café bar right next to the bungalows, a lovely place covered by a bamboo canopy which serves delicious meals. Free Wi-Fi is also available at the restaurant.
