If you fantasize about a peaceful, quiet and truly beautiful place to spend your vacation, then this villa in Palmižana is perfect for you! Palmižana is a popular name for the small island of St. Klement. It is one of many islands in the unique Paklinski archipelago, renowned for its beauty. In the southern Adriatic sea, Palmižana is located just off the coast of the town of Hvar on the island of Hvar, a place which has the most sunny hours of all others in the Mediterranean. Because of its beauty, Paklinski archipelago was proclaimed a protected nature park.
Villa Watermelon is a lovely brick and stone house amidst the lush flora of St. Klement, and positioned so close to the sea and the beautiful bay that you only need about a minute’s walk down to the sand and pebble beach. Its façade is a lovely red-orange color (much like the inside of a watermelon), which gave the villa its fitting name. There are some stone elements like the covers of the villa’s corners which give it a traditional touch. That touch is further ephasized by the courtyard paved in unshaped rock and enclosed by a stone drywall. There are some plants within the courtyard, but the whole surrounding area seems like one huge garden full of various kinds of vegetation, a definitive plus for every nature lover out there. The villa has two orange sun loungers that can be positioned on the terrace to fully enjoy all those sunny hours.
The villa’s interior is just as lovely as its exterior, with great attention to detail and a great overall combination of colors. The colors are many, but never obtrusive. The main room is the living room with 2 beds and a basic kitchen (which only has a small fridge, a coffee maker and a sink). The room has some eye catching elements like the fireplace, the chandoliers adorned with plants, terracotta tiled floor, orange and blue kitchen tiles and a number of nice paintings that thematically tie the whole place together. There is one more bedroom in the villa with a double bed, and a bathroom that is completely equipped for your daily needs (both stylistically in accordance with the living room). The villa is air conditioned.
As for the food and drinks, the villa has a before mentioned small refrigerator wherein you may store your food for non-cooking consumption, like fruit, snacks and so on. Regarding cooked meals, there is a restaurant and a café bar right next to the bungalows, a lovely place covered by a bamboo canopy which serves delicious meals. Free Wi-Fi is also available at the restaurant. There is a number of places to explore within the Paklinski archipelago, including more than a few high quality restaurants, captivating isolated beaches and much more. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
