With the approach of summer, many seek a destination to properly refill their batteries after a year of hard work in the fast-paced surrounding of the cities, with all the noise, commotion, smog and many distractions. One way of recharging is by connecting with the riches of nature, such as the clear sea, fragrant flora, lively fauna and nice weather. The other way might be in engaging summertime activities, like sailing, windsurfing, water polo, swimming, jet-ski, food and wine tasting, and more. In each case, here on the grand island of Brač you can have all your wishes fulfilled.
Villa Anima is a beautiful little Mediterranean house in the town of Bol, on the southern side of the island. The villa boasts a variety of authentic elements and some modern additions which make it a perfect choice to spend a vacation and immerse yourself in the spirit of older times. The house is made out of high quality Brač stone, known for being the main construction material of the White House. It has a ground floor, two upper floors and the attic. The courtyard of the villa is a lovely paved surface where you can enjoy some time chilling out, reading a book, dining or relaxing in the lovely Jacuzzi. On one side it is enclosed by a wall, over which various vegetation grows to create natural shade and cover from the outside world, making the property your own little slice of paradise.
As for the interior of the villa, it surely continues in the tone that supports old time Mediterranean aesthetics, with an elegant touch of modernity. On the ground floor of the villa connecting to the terrace, the large wooden door opens to lead you into a wine cellar, or a place which could have been used as a tavern. It has a kitchen with white wooden elements, white-black table and the fitting set of benches where you can enjoy your meals, along with a metal construction on the wall where a selection of wines is placed. Authenticity is ensured by the exposed stone walls throughout the space. Behind the wall on which the wines are positioned is a lovely bedroom with a comfortable double bed and wooden commodes. On the other side of the wall there is a bathroom. On the upper floors and the attic there are 4 more bedrooms, all of them very pleasant, comfortable and spacious, with plenty of wardrobe room to store your belongings. They are all airy and fresh due to the smooth white walls and the sunlight reflecting off them. Each of the rooms has a window with a great view of the sea, and each has lovely decorations like framed pictures with maritime themes. The attic is the final bedroom, with two single beds (all the other rooms have double beds). There are 4 bathrooms in the villa, including the one mentioned on the ground floor, and the villa can accommodate up to 10 people. Villa Anima is air conditioned, with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, washing machine, coffee machine, hairdryer, kettle and a dishwasher. Parking is available nearby.
A 5-10 minute walk takes you to downtown Bol where you can enjoy all sorts of content, such as bars, restaurants, town exploration, rent a boat, wind surfing and more. From there you can visit one of the beautiful beaches in the town’s proximity, most known being Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). Other interesting options for exploration might be Vidova Gora right above Bol (the highest peak of Brač offering a stunning view in every direction), Supetar (the island’s official center, providing a lot of content in the likes of festivals, fisherman fests, etc.) and Blaca hermitage (a remote 16th century monastery built into a cliff). Enjoy your stay!
