One of the great ways to completely immerse yourself with the locality you’re visiting is glamping, the popularity of which is on a constant growing curve. As the demand for exotic countries with great natural riches rises, so do the needs in terms of comfort during visiting them. Glamping is a fantastic new way of experiencing those places, even remote, wild localities, without having to sacrifice the comfort one may have grown accustomed to. The word is, after all, a combination of glamour and camping, which basically speaks for itself.
On the island of Murter in Šibenik-Knin County, a glamping haven has been established, consisting of various structures built upon that theme. One of those is a complex of 2 lovely luxurious bungalows on the very waterfront of a secluded little bay on the western side of the island facing the open sea and the distant Kornati isles. These gorgeous bungalows are made of high quality wood, an excellent material and the usual choice for this type of structure. Wood is used because of its many positive characteristics like its versatility, abundance due to being a natural source, resistance to the elements, great insulation, biodegradability, low carbon footprint and last but not the least – its aesthetic qualities, especially its ability to radiate warmth and make one more in touch with the lush natural surroundings. Beside the bungalows’ boards, planks, pillars and beams, wood is used in its rooftop in the form of densely packed sticks, and the same ones are used to create the property’s parasols in the courtyard. Other materials used in their construction are plastic and glass, all high quality modern materials that blend great with the wooden body and tie it together in modern, elegant fashion. The courtyard of the property is an open, spacious patch of land divided into two surfaces: one paved and one being a trimmed lawn. The border of the enclosure is marked by various trees planted in a rows, which at the same time ensure some privacy. As for leisure, there are two main options – table tennis on the lawn and the pool in the paved part of the courtyard. By the pool you will find a number of sun beds and the before mentioned parasols. The interiors of the bungalows (40m2 + 40m2) are perfectly suitable for 4 guests per each, as there are two bedrooms with double beds in each. Every bungalow also has one bathroom and one kitchen, equipped for most of your meal preparation needs, as well as a living room with a flat-screen TV. The bungalows are air conditioned, with Wi-Fi for mobile devices. There is a private beach area close by, and free private parking is available on the property. Pets on request!
